The Invoicing Hub now covers a 19th country: the United Kingdom, with regular e-invoicing news & detailed country profile.

E-invoicing in the UK initially advanced significantly with the NHS’s adoption of the Peppol network and the mandatory acceptance of EN 16931-compliant invoices by public administrations.

However, since Brexit, progress has stalled, as the UK’s departure from the EU has exempted it from the obligation to apply Directive 2014/55/EU, ultimately leading to a lack of recent plans for further mandatory e-invoicing initiatives for B2G or B2B transactions.
