Foreword by the UAE Ministry of Finance

We are honoured to feature a foreword from the UAE Ministry of Finance.

The Ministry highlights e-invoicing as a strategic element of the UAE’s digital financial transformation and encourages businesses to prepare early, assess their systems and select the right ASP.

Written in partnership with

billentis
For more than two decades, billentis has been recognised as one of the leading independent sources of market intelligence in the fields of electronic invoicing, tax compliance, and digital business transformation.

The annual billentis reports have documented the evolution of the market from the early stages of electronic invoicing adoption to today's increasingly interconnected digital trade environment.
sharedserviceslink
sharedserviceslink is a business community built to help mid-sized, large, and enterprise companies implement electronic invoicing successfully.

Susie West founded sharedserviceslink in 2007 — after having worked in the e-invoicing industry in its very early years — with the aim to help AP and AR teams mature in order to facilitate a more seamless adoption of e-invoicing.

The UAE e-invoicing mandate in a few words

The UAE e-invoicing mandate begins on October 30, 2026, when large businesses must appoint an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) and be ready to receive e-invoices.

Mandatory e-invoicing will then be phased in through 2027 for almost all businesses operating in the UAE and for public bodies, covering domestic B2B (Business-to-Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) transactions.

An Accredited Service Provider (ASP) is required to receive and exchange structured e-invoices through the Peppol network in the UAE’s PINT-AE format, and to report tax data to the Ministry of Finance in real time.
