JFE 2025 gathered nearly 2,000 attendees and key speakers, including DGFiP, who shared updates on the upcoming B2B mandate.

The 2025 edition of the Journée de la Facture Electronique (JFE – “e-invoicing day”), organized by FNFE-MPE, was held at the Palais Brongniart in Paris. With under 18 months to go before the nationwide e-invoicing mandate comes into effect, the event drew a crowd of nearly 2,000 attendees.

Participants explored numerous exhibitor stands (including several The Invoicing Hub sponsors), joined hands-on workshops, and attended packed plenary sessions.

Photos are available at the end of this article.

Strong government support for the mandate

The event opened with a video message from Amélie de Montchalin, French Minister for Public Accounts, reaffirming the government’s commitment to making the mandate a reality and simplifying compliance for businesses across the country.

Notable speakers included representatives from OpenPeppol, FeRD, DGFiP, and AIFE, moderated by Cyrille Sautereau, head of FNFE-MPE and chair of the AFNOR commission in charge of finalizing France’s e-invoicing specifications.

More specifically, DGFiP reviewed the next steps in the reform, re-emphasized the roles of the AFNOR commission and France’s Peppol Authority, and confirmed the implementation timeline, all previously detailed in our earlier article.

Newest mandate specifications publication

The highly-anticipated specifications for invoice and lifecycle formats, issued by the AFNOR commission, were released during the JFE 2025. While not yet final, this latest version contains key technical documentation for PDPs to ensure full conformance of the documents they process, and is available on the official Specifications Externes page.

The opt-in mandate, which allows companies to officially declare their receiving PDP (PDPr), ensuring only authorized PDPs can receive and process client data, is also now available on the FNFE-MPE website.

Additional publications are expected in the coming weeks:

  • Specifications for e-invoicing use cases, to give guidance on how to manage specific invoicing situations
  • Standardized API definitions to facilitate PDP integration and portability for all companies
