Join eezi’s expert on the 27th of November for a look at e-invoicing in Europe, with a spotlight on Greece, Poland, Croatia and Spain

As governments across Europe accelerate their digital transformation agendas, 2025 and 2026 will be pivotal years for businesses navigating new e-invoicing mandates.

From Poland’s 2026 KSeF rollout and Greece’s recently passed Law 5222/2025, to Croatia’s upcoming B2B requirements under Fiscalization 2.0 and Spain’s VERIFACTU compliance deadline in January 2026, it’s clear that the era of paper invoices and inconsistent data flows is rapidly ending. Each country is aligning with broader EU goals under the VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) initiative while also tailoring their national systems with local complexities, technical specifications, and compliance deadlines.

These legislative shifts come with both challenges and opportunities. Businesses must not only ensure technical readiness but also understand country-specific reporting frameworks, such as Poland’s structured XML and real-time KSeF clearance, Greece’s use of Peppol and the MyDATA platform, and Spain’s certified billing software requirements under VERIFACTU. Croatia has approved and gazetted its Fiscalisation Act on 11 June 2025 for the launch of mandatory domestic e-invoicing and e-reporting for B2B transactions.
